Shadow Play
Check out this beautiful end title sequence of the film Mentiras Piadosas, directed by Diego SabanĂ©s. Yet another inspiring example of why I wish I designed 3D and motion graphics. I’m sick of this lousy, motionless, two-dimensional crap (half serious).
N64 Kid Remix
This is a bit of an oldie, but I had to post it for those of you that haven’t seen this yet. This is a YouTube remix of a video of a kid getting insanely excited about the Nintendo 64 that Santa just brought him. Now, typically I hate YouTube remix videos, but this one is just awesome! YouTube Link
See Mike Draw
I am totally hooked on the comics of Mike Jacobsen. I don’t typically get excited about internet cartoons, but Mike’s stuff is particularly hilarious. He’s got a great style too. Reminds me a bit of Gary Larsen (Farside). Be sure to check out each of his sites in order to get your fill: See Mike Draw, Urf, and Pencils at Dawn.
Peter Roe
An amazing showreel (in HD) of Peter Roe’s 3D work from 2008. Not only is this stuff awesome, but he gives a breakdown of how the clips were created. Cool background music too!
Alex-ellent Design
Self-proclaimed web design superstar, Alex Buga has an awesome new website. A beautiful design featuring some of the latest web tricks and trends.
Loading
Never before have I wished for load times to be longer. Put together by Big Spaceship, Pretty Loaded is a collection of some of the coolest flash preloaders from around the web. If you have a short attention span and an appreciation for good flash design, check it out. I could watch these things for hours (If there were more of them).
Hot Karl
When it comes to logos, German designer Andreas Karl has one of the best portfolios I’ve ever seen. The work from his company, Karl Design, has won numerous awards and, odds are, you’ve seen some of these logos before.
The Jeopardy Archive
I’m not the smartest guy in the world (really), but I sure love trivia. And I’ve recently stumbled upon the J! Archive. This is a fan-created archive of every Jeopardy game, player, catagory, clue, answer, and just about everything else a Jeopardy fan could want. It dates all the way back to the very first unaired pilot with Alex Trebek in 1983. They even have MP3s, photos and videos for some of the video daily doubles!
There’s a Monster in my Comic
Check out these comics (specifically the ones by Tom Gauld). I love the illustration style, not to mention the awesome monsters, creatures, and robots.
Apple Evolution
This is a pretty thorough look back at the evolution of Apple products over the last 3 decades. This chart spans from the very beginning, 1976, through 2007. You’ve come a long way, Mr. Jobs.
Pie Charts
Be honest… this comic made you hungry, too.
