Look at my Wiener

Isn’t it cute? His name is Ammo. He is a Miniature Dachshund and he’s about 10 weeks old. We got him not too long ago and he’s been quite a handful. House training a puppy in 10 degree weather is easier said than done. But when he’s not pissing on the carpet, he’s so much fun. Check out the photos and this hilarious video of his unique sleeping habits.

Get Demotivated

Remember those motivational posters? You know, the ones with black background, big photo, headline, and corny caption? Well Despair Inc specializes in creating demotivational posters that are absolutely hilarious. They’ve come up with a wonderful tag line for themselves, “Welcome to Despair, the relentless pursuit of dejection.”

I’ve Made a Huge Mistake

If you’re an Arrested Developement fan, this compilation needs little explaination. If you’re not familiar with the greatest show ever created, you need to be. I never realised how many times they actually said this.

Futuramarama

A fantastic collage of the Futurama cast. Done in a similar fashion to the famous Simpsons poster. You’d be surprised how much time you can kill just staring at these and picking out all the different characters.

Hand Made Font

An excellent collection of photographic fonts. All of the 120+ fonts are hand made and are available as photoshop files. Although some of the convenience of typing with these fonts is lost, the image style allows for much more dynamic typefaces. These guys will also take on commissions for custom typefaces. Very cool.

Quantum of Physics

If you were hoping this was post about about the physical science behind the stunts performed in the new James Bond film, you’ve been mislead. This is actually a flash animation explaining string theory in a very simple yet entertaining way. Reminds me of the guide from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Very minimal and very efficient.

Virtual Barbershop

Unlike most of my other posts, this isn’t a print ad, design website, or something to do with Ferraris. It’s a sound clip, demonstrating the awesome power of stereophonics. However, you need to use headphones for it to work. So if you have a minute to spare, close your eyes and have a listen… it’s totally worth it.

Let there be Cake

What is a wedding? Webster’s dictionary defines a wedding as the process of removing weeds from one’s garden. You heard it… on October 4th, I married my girlfriend of 6 years, Kyley Hellhake! The wedding went off without a hitch (despite the flower girl being a horse) and the honeymoon in Nicaragua was awesome. If you weren’t there, please feel free to experience it vicariously through awesome photos.

Enchanted Africa

These truly stunning photographs we taken by a photographer named Nick Brandt. By far some of the coolest wild life photography I’ve ever seen. He says part of his secret is getting incredibly close to the animals, and avoiding the use of telephoto lenses.

What a Pheeling

World F-ing Champions! The Phils have finally done it. It took them 28 years, but they did it. What an amazing year it’s been, and what a time to be alive. I missed out on the Phillies first World Series victory by about 4 years. But rest assured, I’ll never forget this one. GO PHILLIES!

Chu on this

Outstanding automotive photography by Scott Chu. The first two portfolios are cars, the third is other stuff. I prefer the cars.
