Swing Batter Batter

Now I want to see him use that in a game. Would that even be legal?

Incredible package design for Samurai Vodka by Arthur Schreiber. I dare anyone to come up with a better solution for this product.

The Leg Up Program

This has to be one of the most horrifying sports injuries I’ve ever seen. What is seemingly a 50/50 ball turns out to be 100% leg-shattering. If a man kicking his knee with his own foot doesn’t fascinate and disgust you, nothing will. YouTube Link

Carousel

Created as a promotion for the world’s first cinema-proportion television (21:9), Carousel is a short film created by Philips with director Adam Berg. This looping picture in motion is a stunning display of special effects at its finest. If you enjoy it as much as I did, you’ll want to check out the making of.

Awkward Family Photos

Forget those embarrassing family photos from your childhood. The portraits on Awkward Family Photos will make your old portraits look like Abercrombie ads. And as if the pics weren’t funny enough, the captions for each one really take them to that next level of hilarity.awkward_family

It’s a Trap!

This is why you’re not actually supposed to play Moue Trap. You simply build the contraptions and set them off over and over again until you’re bored. Playing the game only results in people getting hurt and me laughing. Just keep watching, it’s funnier the 10th time. YouTube Link

FootyTube

Finally, a website where you can watch quality soccer videos and game recaps. I love the extensive 10-20 minute videos that show all the highlights and the action leading up to the goals, not just the goals themselves. It’s perfect for checking out the games we don’t have access to here in the States. Also, be sure to check out FootyTube 2.0 in beta, which looks a lot better than the current design. My only complaint would be the name. I just can’t stand it when people refer to soccer/football as “footy.”

The Mile High Club

Golf club that is. This 400 yard par 3 is the 19th hole at the Legends Golf and Safari Resort golf course. The tee box, teetering high above at 1410 feet, requires a chopper to access it. Someday perhaps all golf carts will be replaced with helicopters. YouTube Link

A Sad Day for Soccer

Of all the possible sports equipment out there, why soccer balls? I had no idea our friends over at SSI Shredding hated the sport so much. Well at least two of them got away.

99 Seinfeld References

Seinfeld was the ultimate show for water cooler conversations. With a countless number of inside jokes, nicknames, characters, and story lines, it didn’t take long for the show to develop it’s very own social language. Now, thanks to Kiersten Essenpreis, we have a beautiful painting depicting a massive, heaping pile of these references (99 to be exact). And she even included a reference key! An excellent tribute to one of the greatest shows of all time.
